We are looking at houses to buy, and everyone I see has a large back yard that bumps up to the neighbors (with little privacy in between). I was looking for some creative ideas on how to line the yard for privacy, besides just a fence (which will have to go in for the dog).

Idea? Suggestions?

I have found that bamboo works very well. I am just not sure how to keep it from creeping around the rest of the backyard, except to cut down the stragglers ever so often.

Any suggestions?
